Kylie Stafford is a former journalist who has spent more than 12 years in newsrooms in the South Island including The Press, The Nelson Mail and the Marlborough Express. Born and bred in Nelson, she has a particular passion for Maori media fuelled by her love of culture and music. She has worked as a communications advisor for Wellington-based Poutama and was also marketing and communications manager for the New Zealand Waiata Maori Music Awards and Takitimu Festival.

When she’s not at work, Kylie loves nothing more than relaxing with a glass of bubbles or clowning around with her very busy pre-school age twin boys Kees and Milan.
